Main Street Union City Celebrates “Small Business Saturday” on Nov. 25

Main Street Union City is encouraging community members to “shop small” this Sat., Nov. 25, to support locally-owned and operated businesses in downtown Union City.

“Small Business Saturday” is a day to celebrate and support small businesses and all they do for their communities. This is an annual event that was created to encourage consumers to shop locally in person and online at small businesses. This is a perfect way to give back and help small businesses thrive during the holiday season.

“Our mission at Main Street Union City is to revitalize the economy, enhance the historical charm and preserve the architectural heritage of the downtown district of Union City,” said Katie Graves, executive director for Main Street Union City. “Promoting events like ‘Small Business Saturday’ keeps the money spent with our locally-owned and operated businesses within our community.”

On “Small Business Saturday,” Bricks and Brews will be open for lunch, and shoppers can redeem a free “Small Sip” at Vantage Coffee from 2 to 4 p.m. for shopping local. Simply show a receipt from any local business in downtown Union City to redeem your free coffee. The “Small Sips” are sponsored by Leaders Credit Union.
