Downtown Cleanup Day – April 19, 2025

Main Street Union City is partnering with the Parks & Recreation team and Century 21 to help clean up downtown Union City in conjunction with Earth Day! We are inviting ALL community members who want to help pick up trash, pull weeds, plant flowers and more to join us for this event.

Date: Sat., April 19, 2025
Time: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Location: Merchants Park

When volunteers arrive, you will be given a volunteer bag and the zone you will be given to clean. We will have a welcome by the event team and then you will head to your zones to begin cleaning. At 12:30 p.m. we invite all volunteers and community members to join us for a special revealing of the dumpster that was painted by Union City High School art students.

What to bring:

• Garden Gloves
• Closed-toe shoes (tennis shoes are the best!)
• Sunglasses
• Sunscreen
• Extra broom (if you have one!)
• Water

What will be provided:

• Water
• Trash bags
• Gloves (latex)
• Safety vest
• Dumpster for bags
• Take-home seed packets

Other events will be taking place in front of Century 21 located at 204 W. Washington Ave. in downtown Union City. They will have a popular Chalk Art Contest plus other vendors set up to inspire community members to help keep our city clean.
